THE US presidential elections always generate global interest. This year’s elections are special. The five main contenders for the US presidency this year symbolise a “first” of one kind or another-
Barack Obama would be the first African-American president (his middle name is Hussein a muslim name, another first) if elected.
Hillary Clinton would , be the first woman president if elected.
Mike Huckabee would be the first ordained preacher to be elected.
Mitt Romney would be the first Mormon.
John McCain, at 71, the oldest ever first-time aspirant.

I don’t know about the Americans, but I would prefer Obama over everyone. Even Clinton. Hope he wins

For once the candidates are all very different. But it might turn out to be John Edwards (who knows), who has a more “traditionnal”-president background.
Many people like Obama just be because he’s black. He’s actually more popular than expected, less than a year before the elections, we’ll see what happends in the next few months…

People in the media love to hate the Clinton’s for some reason. Even the republicans voted against her in the primaries.
I guess the US establishment wants the Clintons to be out of the race and when it will come to the Presidential elections; they wont let ‘brother’ Obama be the President.
