Thank You Sonia Ben
Modi should thank Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh for his spectacular win in Gujarat. Muslims don’t need Bajrang Dal or VHP to harm them. ‘Nadan Dost se akalmand dushman bhala’ is an age old saying and Congress has proved that. The ‘merchant of death’ statement helped Modi like nothing else could. If Sardar Manmohan Singh continues with his vote bank politics instead of actually helping the minorities nobody can stop ‘Advani Ji ‘ from becoming the next Prime minister of India. Modi started with the development plank but Congress gave him a more effective plank- the communal plank and polarisation of votes started. Modi supporters should thank Sonia’s speech writer and the opponents should fire him.
The only way forward for Gujarat and the country is the ‘Zafar Sareshwalas’ approach. Minorities should not depend on the opportunitist politicians. They are either communal or pseudo-secularists. Both harm the people and communities. I hope this victory makes Modi a better man and he provides security to all his people. A country progresses only when all its citizens taste the growth.

The kind of command Modi has in Gujarat is amazing. The Congress I believe has tried all desperate measures to reclaim Gujarat and Modi stumps them with a bigger margin every time. And as you said, that Maut Ka Saudagar statement backfired big time for the Congress. I believe S. Manmohan Singh is well..too economic and soft to be a Prime Minister. But one thing he did say correctly, BJP naming LK Advani as the Prime Ministerial candidate does sound as though they’re afraid of Narendra Modi taking the central limelight as well. After all, he really has been the face of the BJP in the good and the bad times.

Ur last line holds a lot of promise in an otherwise childish rant of a post not ur usual thoughtful style and i
think that is the only way out for a modern India.

I am sorry you found it childish Prax.I meant very word of it including the last line.Although I am sure all that development talk was true too. There is so much investment coming to Gujarat and no industrialist would risk his money in an unstable state.
Ammar, democracy doesn’t work in vaccum. You need a powerful opposition.
I mentioned one of the victims of the riots in my post-Zafar Sareshwala. He lost all that he had in the riots;he is back on his feet again and is flourishing. There were others on different news channels saying that they were hopeful. When you provide water and electricity to a village all sections of society benefit from it.There is more than 12%growth in Gujarat according to independent sources.Law will take its course. In the mean time people have to move on with their lives. They don’t have a choice. You can’t expect them to keep crying all the time. Our criminal justice system is slow but still they have to look towards the future. There is no mass exodus from Gujarat which shows that people are optimistic. Let me make it clear I don’t want even one culprit to go unpunished but if the victims don’t move forward how will they survive?

Good one ! It is true that the ” Merchants of Death ” remark by Sonia Maino-Gandhi spurred Gujratis in to voting in droves for Modi, In any case he would have won, no question about it.
It is time that anti- Gujarat people all over, come and see the development for their enlightenment. This has become like a 24 hour music channel labeling us as Communalists and recently Fascists ( Hmmn…..What about Rajiv Gandhi, H K L Bhagat, Jagdish Tytler, Sitaram Yechury, Prakash Karat last two for Nandigram), There is no end to it….I just know one thing every section in Gujrat today is benefiting from the Boom in the state…so guys…before talking come to Gujrat and see it for yourselves…
