Gordon Brown met by George Bush

The world owes a debt to the United States for its leadership in the fight against international terrorism, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said.

There is another side of the story which Mr Brown is turning a blind eye to-

!.Osama-Bin-Laden is the symbol of terrorism in the world today. His army of Mujhaideen was financed and supported by US during the anti Russia campaign in Afghanistan. The monster was created by USA.

2.Saddam Hussain and his Iraq, was the other arm of axis of evil according to Mr Bush. USA supplied him arms during the Iran- Iraq war in the 80’s, so America is responsible for strenthening him too.

3. America didn’t acknowledge the existence of terrorism till 9/11 happened.

4. World would have been comparitively safer if in the name of weapons of mass destruction Mr Bush hadn’t attacked Iraq.

    5. Illegal American occupation of Iraq and it’s disastrous foreign policy has consolidated the anti-American sentiment in the arab world and fanned extremist ideologies and strengthened terrorism.

    6. America’s “war on terror” has caused more of its citizens to die than 9/11. Add to that the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi/ Afghani civilians killed by its disproportionate action, and it becomes nothing short of large-scale crime against humanity.

    7. America continues to be the world’s only superpower, without any responsiblity in its actions.

  • Hmm…don’t take Brown’s words too seriously, he is just establishing himself on the world diplomatic stage as a strong US-ally.

Your points are very valid, and show the irony of Brown’s remarks…nice post!

  • I guess Gordon Brown is indulging in a bit of ass-kissing through his lies. :)

  • 1. is true

    2. what was done in the 80s probably made sens. what bush did didnt, and still doesnt

    3. u sure?

    4. well, someone could argue ” we will never know” hehehehehe

    5. unfortunately

    6. you go “a little too far”

    7. try giving another country as much power as america has and see what happens. Overall the US is a responsible country, but like any other it has its flaws.
